CARE is a service to bridge the needs of seniors and students by establishing a mutually beneficial relationship between the two, where the senior gets assistance from the student for his or her day to day life and the student gets money that is paid to his or her CARE student account as a scholarship fund for their educational purposes.
Interaction that is human
The Care Slate is a smart tablet, that is connected to the internet and has handwriting recognizing features. It is designed to be used by the senior where they can write tasks in it with the attached pen, just like a task list. The tablet processes the writing and turns it into text.

The Care App is designed for the student as a task management, and scheduling platform. It communicates with the slate and updates the list when a task is added on the slate. It also maintains the student account and stores contracts between the student and the senior.
Feels like it's meant to be there
The products have been designed to fit into the environment seamlessly, with UI/UX relying on the tactility to communicate with the users and connect them with each other.

The Process
Understanding the target demography played a crucial role in establishing the forms, tech-packaging, CMF, UX and mounting scenarios. With the help of iterative sketching, model-making, rapid-prototyping it was possible to translate initial concepts into prototypes.
